Skin Clinic opens in Lexington

One of the oldest and most experienced dermatology practices in Columbia has expanded into Lexington.

Columbia Skin Clinic’s new office opened Mar. 4 at 448 Old Cherokee Rd.

Shelly Brown, assistant practice manager; told the Chronicle they will offer both general and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Richard Laws, Dr. Cody Conner; Dr. Sean Thomas are currently working at the new location. Dr. Sara Faulks Bruton will start seeing patients in late August.

Laws graduated Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and did his internship at Brooke Army Medical Center. He served in the US Army for 8 years. He specializes in general dermatology and skin cancer treatment.

Conner graduated with honors and the highest distinction from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He did his residency at The University of Alabama School of Medicine and interned at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. His specialties are general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

Thomas is a 24-year US Army veteran who started his career as a family physician before discovering his love for dermatology. Thomas served as Chief over the Dermatology Department at Womack Army Medical Center at Ft. Bragg, NC. He practices general medical and surgical dermatology.
