Celebrate that 4-letter word

The day is here to celebrate love.
Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, or
Galentine’s Day for some.
If you aren’t in a relationship, you can enjoy it with your gals or fellas.
Love is such a powerful force.
For some of us, giving and receiving love is easy. For some, it’s more difficult.
I encourage you this Valentine’s Day to spread love and joy to others.
Some benefits of loving relationships include:
• Strong social support helps our bodies physically heal quicker.
• You may live longer. Love encourages us to give up bad habits like heavy drinking or smoking, in support of positive relationships.
• Lowering blood pressure. And we’re more likely to engage in physical exercise.
• Our bodies produce more oxytoxin which makes us less likely to succumb to stress, anxiety and depression.
• The “love” feelings cause our brains to release dopamine, adrenaline, and norepinephrine, which make our hearts beat faster and stronger.
While it may sometimes feel awkward, sharing kindness and the joy of love is free.
You never know who may need to hear those 4 little words, or the joyful feeling behind being loved.
Compliment a stranger, lend a helping hand, give a random person a hug. Trust me, it can change someone’s whole world.
The old saying of “You don’t know unless you try” comes to mind.
How will you share love this Valentine’s day? Write me and share your experience at jewel.lexchron@gmail.com .
