Extreme mission adventures

Have you ever wondered how people spread the gospel in remote areas of the world 100 years ago?
It wasn’t easy. Only the toughest could do it.
Chuck McDaniel, Tripp Sloan and Robert Jackson have seen first-hand how challenging it was.
They have been on multiple mission trips to Central America with Extreme Missionary Adventures out of Louisiana.
XMA is an organization that helps American Christians obey God’s call to take the Gospel to all nations.
They take volunteers on 8-12 day trips to Central and South America and other remote countries. There they provide evangelism, medical care, teaching, prayer, listening and caring to people trapped poverty, injustice and spiritual darkness.
It could be helping a preacher or teacher in a remote mountain village or projects to improve the standard of living for people in Central America.
Their trips usually include a lot of walking, hiking in mountainous jungles and time spent in canoes.
They have visited villages of indigenous people who may have never seen a white person.
Volunteers have used battery, solar and hand-cranked projectors to deliver the news of Christ.
The trips are strenuous, and conditions are often primitive. But there are valuable benefits.
On one trip to a mountainside to show the Jesus video, they saw long streams of lights coming from miles away. Hundreds of people with torches and flashlights were coming to hear about Jesus.
I can’t imagine a better feeling.
