A 15-year-old female Pine Ridge Middle School student has been charged with threatening classmates.
Lexington County sheriff’s deputies say she spoke of bringing a gun to school and shooting another student.
A deputy questioned the student at her home last week before releasing her to the custody of her mother.
Her mother told police there are no weapons in the house and the student does not have access to any weapons.
She did not give consent for a search of her residence.
The student was suspended from school pending a hearing at the district office.
She will appear in Lexington County Family Court at a later date.
Her name will not be released because she’s under 18.
This is the 3rd threat at Pine Ridge Middle this school year.
