Many Lexington County businesses and government officials will be open tomorrow although the 5 districts are closing schools.
Officials are watching Hurricane Michael and its potential impact here.
Lexington County emergency management officials have moved operations into Condition 4, which is the second lowest response level above day-to-day operations. Emergency managers are making initial preparations for the possibility of hazardous situations from the storm.
Curbside collection services will operate on a one-day delay.
Residents are urged to monitor local media, the South Carolina Emergency Management Division’s social media channels (@SCEMD) as well as the County’s website (lex-co.sc.gov) and social media channels (Twitter: @CountyLex; Facebook: County of Lexington) for updated information.
