The Chapin teenager broke into neighbors’ homes and watched them sleep.
That’s what Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies learned in arresting Dawkins, 17, in multiple cases of burglary and “peeping Tom” incidents.
Dawkins is charged with three counts of first degree burglary and four counts of voyeurism, according to arrest warrants.
“Based on the information investigators have compiled, these incidents happened in April and May at homes on Crystal Lake Drive and Amalfi Drive in Chapin,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said.
Dawkins broke into the homes to watch people who were sleeping or otherwise unaware of his presence, according to detectives. He was arrested near his home last Thursday morning after a family member surrendered him to a deputy.
GPS monitoring and house arrest were conditions of his bond, Koon said.
