State lawmakers have appropriated money for statewide covid-19 testing.

This makes free tests accessible to all in Lexington County and the state.

Free testing will be at the old Parole and Pardon Building located at 2221 Devine Street every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday through Aug. 29.

Testing will be from 8 am - noon each day, Sen. Dick Harpootlian said.

No appointment is needed.

The tests are conducted by the Medical University of SC, Prisma Health, DHEC and the SC Hospital Association.

Information about this testing site and where to find other sites in South Carolina can be found here.
