Hurricane Sally headed our way?

5 tropical storms threaten the Southeast

Just when you may have thought hurricane season was over, here come 5 more storms.
Storm-weary Gulf Coast residents rushed to finish last-minute preparations Monday as Tropical Storm Sally chugged slowly through warm Gulf waters, WYFF TV reported.
Sally will drift north and eventually toward Lexington County Thursday or Friday.
Expect gusty winds, heavy rainfall and some local flooding.
Forecasters predict landfall as a hurricane with the biggest threat from flooding, with up to 2 feet of rain along the Gulf Coast.
For only the 2nd time in recorded history, 5 storms are churning in the Atlantic, meteorologist Philip Klotzbach said.
The 4 others are Paulette, Rene, Teddy and Vicky.
Sally is expected to be a dangerous slow-moving hurricane near the coast of southeastern Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama during the next 2-3 days.
The National Hurricane Center said it was too early to tell exactly where Sally will come ashore as it’s still not known when it will turn north.
A storm surge of 7-11 feet above sea level is expected around the mouth of the Mississippi River.
Tropical Storm Teddy is expected to become a major hurricane this week. By Saturday, it is expected to be in the mid-Atlantic.
