Irmo Middle student arrested for making threats

An Irmo Middle School student is charged with making direct threats against 2 students at his school.
The student, whose name will not be released because he is under 18, threatened to shoot 2 students in the gym locker room Oct. 9, according to reports.
The student was released to the custody of his parents after being charged.
He will appear in Lexington County Family Court at a later date.
