A Leesville woman was killed in a Batesburg auto crash Tuesday evening.
Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the woman Wednesday who died as a result of a single-vehicle accident in the 2100 block of Broad Street at approximately 6 pm on May 4.
According to Fisher, Rhonda Faye Beaty, 56, of Leesville was pronounced dead at an area hospital due to her injuries. Beaty’s vehicle veered off of the right side of the road and collided with a tree. Beaty, the only occupant of the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
