Lexington, Irmo safety checkpoints tomorrow

The Lexington and Irmo police departments will be conducting several Public Safety Checkpoints on Wednesday, August 14.
The checkpoints are in response to collision incidents, Citizen Traffic Complaints, and previous enforcement in this area focused on speeding and unsafe driving practices.
Officers will be checking driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, and insurance requirements.
The Irmo Police Department will also have increased patrols on Woodrow Street in Irmo.
