A Swansea man who died Friday night in a single-vehicle crash has been identified.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Walter Mark Cassidy, 53, died in a single-vehicle crash in the 900 block of Sharon Church Road, Swansea, at approximately 8:40 pm.
According to Fisher, Cassidy’s vehicle left the right side of the road and he over corrected, causing the vehicle to leave the left side of the road and overturn. Cassidy was wearing a seatbelt.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the incident.
