More non-essential SC businesses ordered closed due to COVID-19

More cases confirmed Friday in state

An expanded mandatory closure of non-essential businesses in South Carolina will go into effect Monday at 5 p.m.
Gov. Henry McMaster made the annoucement at a media conference late Friday afternoon. 
DHEC reported 147 new cases of COVID-19 in the state at the media confernece Friday, with a total of 1,700 so far.
Nationally, cases so far reported increased to 266,000 with 6,900 deaths.
McMaster also ordered hotels and other short-term rentals bar people renting here that are coming from hotspots of the virus identified by the Centers for Disease Control.
DHEC is to release an updated listing of confirmed cases of the virus by zipcode on its website www.SCDHEC.gov/CVID-19 later Friday evening.
