Woman charged with Felony DUI involving death

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified  Brian Patrick Orazen, 45, of Lexington as the individual who died as a result of a motor vehicle collision that occurred in the 1500 block of Nazareth Road around 7 a.m. on July 13.

According to Coroner Fisher, Orazen was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple traumatic injuries. Orazen was traveling on Nazareth Road when a vehicle driven by Lauren Dangerfield, 31, crossed the center line and collided head-on with his vehicle. Mr. Orazen was wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred.

Dangerfield was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She is charged with felony DUI involving death, posession of a controlled substance, and driving under a suspended license.
