6 Lexington County teams ranked in preseason SC Baseball Coaches Association poll

A year after the season was curtailed due to covid-19, baseball in the SC High School League makes its return this week.

Region 5-5A teams Lexington (3rd) and River Bluff (5th) are once again ranked in the preseason Class 5A rankings. 5th ranked Airport is the lone Chronicle Country team ranked in Class 4A. Region 5-3A rivals Brookland-Cayce and Gilbert are 4th and 5th in Class 5A and Gray Collegiate in 5th in Class 2A.
