The post-season hopes for the Lexington County Blowfish took another blow Friday night at Lexington County Baseball Stadium.

The 10-1 loss to the Savannah Bananas dropped the Blowfish 4 games out of 1st place in the Coastal Plain League South Division standings with 6 games remaining.

A pair of 4-run innings in the 2nd and 4th helped give Savannah a 9-0 lead. The Blowfish’s lone run came on a RBI fielder’s choice by Jared Kirven of Lexington High School in the 6th inning.

Jacob Rye of Gilbert was the 3rd Blowfish pitcher used and went 6 ⅓ innings to finish the game.

Savannah (28-14, 11-6) finished with a 5-1 mark at Lexington County Baseball Stadium and moved into first place in the South Division.

Lexington County (15-29, 8-11) will travel to the Macon Bacon Saturday.
