Brookland-Cayce moves to number 1 in Class 3A rankings

Despite Tuesday’s extra-inning road loss to Gilbert, the Brookland-Cayce baseball team now a number 1 ranked team in Class 3A.

The Bearcats moved into the top spot in the latest SC Baseball Coaches Association’s Top 10 rankings. The same poll moved down Lexington to number 3 and Region 5-5A leader Dutch Fork up to 5th place in Class 5A, Region 3-2A front-runner Gray Collegiate down a notch to number 3 and placed Airport at number 10 in Class 4A.

Brookland-Cayce plays host to Gilbert at 6 pm Thursday. The game can be heard on The Dove 1620 AM by clicking the link https://mixlr.com/bearcatsports .
