Class 3A 4th ranked Brookland-Cayce sought its 2nd win over a Class 5A team this season Friday at Cecil Woolbright Field.
Turnovers and another strong offensive showing by the host team's "Big 3" produced a 41-21 victory for 6th ranked Chapin. 
Quarterback Jayden Bradford rushed for a touchdown and threw 1 to Bennett Galloway, who also had 2 scores for the Eagles (4-0). Appalachian State commit Zavier Short added a touchdown run to give him 10 on the season.
Defensively, Chapin collected 3 turnovers which it turned into 10 points. 
Chapin jumped out to 14-0 in the 1st quarter. Galloway put the Eagles on the board with a 3-yard touchdown run with 9:41 left, followed by Short's 3-yard run 5 minutes later.
Brookland-Cayce (2-1) answered back with a scoring drive capped by a touchdown run by Naahzeikiel Mays to get within 14-7. Chapin answered with a 5-yard touchdown run by Bradford to make it 21-7. 
The Eagles scored 10 unanswered points after forcing 2 straight turnovers. A fumble recovery led to a 23-yard touchdown pass from Bradford to Galloway who broke away from 2 Bearcat tacklers enroute to the endzone with 1:27 left. 
With 38 seconds left, Justin Powe returned his 2nd interception in 2 games to midfield. The Eagles moved the football to the Bearcat 22, setting up a 38-yard field goal by Mason Suber as time expired in the 1st half.
Brookland-Cayce got within 31-14 with 8:14 left in the 3rd quarter on a 2-yard touchdown run by Benjamin Pugh. Suber's 2nd field goal from 37 yards made it 34-14 with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
Troy Seal had a 3-yard touchdown run with 3:20 left in the game to put Chapin up 41-14. Quarterback Tanner Staton closed out the scoring for the Bearcats with a 16-yard touchdown run with 2:07 left. 
Brookland-Cayce faces archrival Airport next week, while Chapin travels to defending Class 4A champion AC Flora. 
Dutch Fork 56, Greenwood 16
The winning streaks continue for the 5-time defending Class 5A champion Silver Foxes. 
Dutch Fork (3-0) trailed twice in the game for the 1st time this season. Down 10-7, the Silver Foxes scored 49 unanswered points to extend their undefeated streak to 53 straight, post the 52nd straight win over in-state teams and claim the 30th win in a row on the road.
Davin Patterson threw for 303 yards and 4 touchdowns. Wide receiver had 8 receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown and had 3 kick returns for 165 yards, including a 98-yard touchdown return.
Jarvis Green rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown and Chris Wicker had 10 tackles. 
Dutch Fork will play its 1st home game of the season next week against Spartanburg.
Gilbert 62, Cheraw 21
Chance Jennings rushed for 2 touchdowns and threw for 178 yards and a score as the Indians posted their 2nd straight road win in the Pee Dee Region. 
Gilbert (3-1) jumped out to a 21-6 lead before the Braves got within 28-21 with 1:51 left in the 1st half. Jennings then connected with Gage Gunter 50 seconds later for a 61-yard touchdown to make it 35-21 at the half.The Indians proceeded to score scored 34 unanswered points, including a 55-yard interception return by Jayson Tatum for a touchdown. Running back Alias Graham-Woodberry rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown and placekicker Riley Barnes went 3-4 in extra points in her 2nd game with the team. 
Gilbert closes out its non-region schedule next week at Wagener-Salley. 
River Bluff 21, Laurens 14 (3OT)
Gray Herring rushed for 106 yards, including 6-yard touchdown run in the 3rd overtime to help the Gators snap a 2-game losing streak Friday in The Swamp.
Quarterback Hunter Sheppard put River Bluff (2-2) up 7-0 with 4:35 left in the 2nd quarter on a 10-yard touchdown pass to Thomas Powell.
With 1:40 left in the game, James Rawl scored on a 9-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7.
Neither game scored in the 1st overtime. The 2nd overtime saw Laurens take the lead on a 20-yard touchdown run by Gemire Darden, only for Sheppard to answer for River Bluff with a 11-yard touchdown pass to Apollos Cook.
Sheppard finished 12-27 for 113 yards. 
The Gators needed just 2 plays to take the lead in the 3rd overtime. Thomas Powell, who set up Herring's touchdown with a 14-yard run, sealed the win with an interception. 
River Bluff returns to action next week against 5th ranked Northwestern.
Batesburg-Leesville 13, Lewisville 6 
After a 3-week hiatus, the Panthers (1-1) returned to action Friday and picked up a non-region win.
Their next game is scheduled for Oct. 1 at home against 2nd ranked Gray Collegiate in the region opener for both teams.
South Aiken 13, White Knoll 7 
De'Maurion Ginn's -yard touchdown run with 4:23 left in the 3rd quarter was the difference in the loss for the Timberwolves.
South Aiken took a 7-0 lead in the 1st quarter on a 1-yard run by Jevon Edwards. Austin Cunningham tied the game with 20-yard touchdown pass to Jamari Warthen and a PAT by Maleah Perry with 1:12 left in the quarter. 
Cunningham was 10-22 for 119 yards and Jaquez Frederick had 110 total yards. 
White Knoll (1-3) travels to Lancaster next week. 
WW King Academy 22, Wardlaw Academy 6
Collin Woodward scored 2 touchdowns and the Knights' defense collected 4 interceptions to even their mark on the season. 
Up next for WW King Academy (2-2) is a home game against Cathedral Academy. 
Airport 17, Swansea 14 
The Eagles return to action Friday at home versus archrival Brookland-Cayce.
