A 2-game winning streak since resuming play has enabled the Pelion football team to crack this week's SC Prep Football Media poll.
The Panthers (2-1, 2-0) entered at number 9 in the Top 10 Class 2A poll. They travel to Petticoat Junction to face Silver Bluff looking to win for the 1st time in school history.
Batesburg-Leesville also moved up a spot to 6th in the Class 2A poll. The Panthers of Batesburg-Leesville replaced Saluda, which dropped to 10th, following the 52-28 win this past Saturday.
A total of 4 teams from Region 3-2A remain ranked in Class 2A along with 2nd ranked Gray Collegiate and 5th ranked Newberry.
Dutch Fork remained the unanimous choice in Class 5A, while Gilbert moved up to 5th in Class 3A.
