Chapin/Newberry Post 193/24 was three outs away from evening its Best-of-Five Series Tuesday against Greenwood Post 20.
It now has to wait until Wednesday night to close out a 6-3 contest in the bottom 7th. Rain halted the contest with no outs and a Post 20 baserunner on first base.
The contest will resume at that point at Smith Road Complex at Newberry College. Upon completion of Game Two, Game Three will take place.
Chapin/Newberry capitalize off an error to take a 2-1 lead in the Top of the first. It was the first of four Post 20 errors.
Greenwood answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning. Post 193/24 posted two more runs in the third on a wild pitcher and error, only to have Greenwood responded with a pair in the bottom half of the inning.
An RBI fielder's choice by Hunter Clinton and a third run scored off a Post 20 error left the score at 6-3.
