For the senior players on the undefeated Lady Eagles, the 2nd round matchup against the Panthers marked their final home match at Cecil Woolbright Field.
They more than assured a 3rd consecutive trip to the Lower State final with a dominant performance. Chapin (14-0) scored 20 unanswered points to close out the victory, led by senio  Jordan Green and freshman Riley Floyd with 4 goals each.
Fellow freshman Regan Finn added 3 goals and seniors Eden Ellison and Angel Tisdale and sophomore Sadie Salazar all had 2 each in the win.
"That group has been amazing," said head coach Jennifer Green about the seniors. "I was just thinking about it. I've been coaching these seniors since 7th grade. So 6 years of coaching them and the time has just flown by because they've been such an amazing group of girls and they're great leaders on and off the field. So, it's just been fun to watch them have the success that they've had this season.
For the Lady Eagles to make a 3rd consecutive state title appearance on April 26 at W.C. Hawkins Stadium and 1st in Class 5A, it will have to defeat Wando a 2nd time on the road this Tuesday. They beat the Lady Warriors 11-7 on March 30.
Since that loss, Wando (15-4) has gone 3-1 and scored 20-plus goals in 3 straight matches. On Thursday, it defeated Lexington 21-2.
"It's going to be a tough game," Green said. "It definitely is and we're going to have to go on the road which is going to be difficult.
"We've got to go in and play strong, start strong. We've got to start with the intensity we started with last time and just focus on pumping each other up, positivity, grounballs, basic stuff.
