Going into the seventh week of football action in South Carolina, region play is set to begin across the state. 

Coming into this week, five Chronicle Country teams are ranked in the top ten of their respective classifications. All five teams in the all-Lexington county Region IV-5A received votes to appear in the top ten with Lexington and White Knoll receiving enough votes to make it in.
