Dustin Johnson is once again back on top of the PGA Tour.
The Dutch Fork High School graduate put forth a near-historic record performance in coasting to an 11-stroke win at the Northern Trush in Boston.
Despite having to wait out a 75-minute thunderstorm, Johnson was able to close out his bogey-free final round with a score of 8-under par 63. Johnson finished the tournament at 30-under par, 1 shy of the PGA record.
The victory not only moved Johnson back to number 1 on the PGA Tour rankings for the 1st time since May 2019. It was his 22nd career PGA title and moved him into a 92-point lead over Justin Thomas in the FedExCup standings.
