Irmo, Columbia among seven SC spots getting a Biscuitville

Posted

“South Carolina, welcome to Biscuitville!”

These words, splashed atop a page on the Biscuitville website, will likely be met with excitement by many Palmetto State eaters who have tried the treasured Tar Heel State breakfast staple when visiting our neighbors to the north.

S.C. residents (including those in Lexington County) soon won’t have to drive so far to sample the ballyhooed biscuits.

Irmo is one of seven  spots in the state the company has announced will soon get their own location.

The State was the first local outlet to take note of the news.

“From the Upstate to the Midlands and over to the PeeDee, we’re rolling out restaurants in South Carolina!” Biscuitville writes on its website. “We can’t wait to get to know our new guests and join their communities.”

The other S.C. cities where Biscuitville is bound are Columbia, Greer, Duncan, Indian Land, Hartsville and Florence.

Exact addresses for the restaurants in Hartsville (listed as opening later this summer) and Florence (listed as opening April 25) are included on the company’s locations page, but no additional info on timing for the other S.C. locations is listed.

The fast food chain is renowned for its biscuits and biscuit sandwiches, but also serves other breakfast items such as pancakes and muffins. All of the 72 active locations listed on the Biscuitville website are in North Carolina and Virginia and are open from some time in the early morning until 2 p.m.
