The potent offense of the Lexington County Blowfish was quieted for 1 night at Grayson Stadium.
The Blowfish managed just 4 hits in a 3-1 loss to the Southern Standings leading Savannah Bananas. The lone run came in the 9th inning on an RBI double by Matt McDermott.
A 2-run homer by Juan Colato in the bottom 2nd was all the run production Savannah (15-8, 11-8) needed for the win. David Mendham added an RBI single in the 3rd inning.
Lexington County starter Mack Anglin allowed all 3 runs and struck out 4 in 2 ⅔ innings. Relievers Will Sanders and Will Abbot combined to hold Savannah scoreless and strike out 5 batters.
Bananas Starter Joshua Smith held the Blowfish to just 2 hits in striking out 6 batters in 6 innings. Relievers Kyle Luigs and Leighton Alley combined for 3 strikeouts in 2 scoreless innings.
