The office of state Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of a Lexington man accused of sexually exploiting a minor.
According to a news release, Timothy Eugene Sielicki, a 30-year-old from Lexington, faces four charges — two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor (second degree) and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor (third degree), all felony offenses punishable by up to 10 years in prison for each count.
“Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff's Department made the arrest,” the release states. “Investigators with the Attorney General's Office, also a member of the state's ICAC Task Force, assisted with this investigation.
“Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Sielicki. Investigators state Sielicki distributed and possessed files of child sexual abuse material.”
According to the release, Sielicki was arrested Sept. 7. The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case.
