Pancake Breakfast in Honor of Local Transplant Patient

Posted

On June 16 from 8 a.m. till 10 a.m., volunteers are hosting Breakfast with Dr. Taundolyn Suber-Mitchell at FATZ Restaurant, 5590 Forest Drive in Columbia. The cost to attend the event is $10, and will include a pancake breakfast and beverage. Proceeds from the event will go to the National Foundation for Transplants in honor of Suber-Mitchell.
Suber-Mitchell is currently on the transplant waiting list for a new kidney. The average kidney transplant costs more than $441,000. Even with insurance, which will cover a portion of the transplant costs, she still faces significant expenses related to the surgery.
If you’re unable to attend and wish to make a tax-deductible donation in honor of Suber-Mitchell, please send a contribution to the NFT South Carolina Transplant Fund, 5350 Poplar Ave., Suite 850, Memphis, TN 38119. Please be sure to write “in honor of Taundolyn Suber-Mitchell” on the memo line. Secure donations also can be made online at www.transplants.org. Donors should click on “Find a Patient” to locate Suber-Mitchell.
