RAINOUT #2 - Lexington County Blowfish forced to postpone another home game

"Dog Day Tuesday" marks the return of the Lexington County Pancakes

Posted

Mother Nature continues to have its way with teams in the Coastal Plain League.
For the 2nd time in 3 days, the Lexington County Blowfish were unable to play at home. Monday's non-division contest against the Holly Springs Salamanders was postponed as the wet field conditions continued to make it difficult to play.
It was the lone contest scheduled between the two CPL teams, but management is working on a new date.
Barring any further rainfall and the team continues to dry out the field, Lexington County will return to action at 7:05 p.m. for "Dog Day Tuesday" to face South Division rival Macon Bacon. Presented by the Batesburg-Leesville Animal Hospital, all dogs receive free admission with an owner.
The contest marks the return of the Lexington County Pancakes and as part of the season-long Lexington County Carnival celebration, the team will be serving "Pancakes" (Corn Dogs) on a Stick.
Listen to the game live at www.blowfishradio.com or livestream it at www.blowfishbaseball.com .
