Broadway’s Next Hit Musical: An Improvisational Performance.
The Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College Dr. in Irmo) hosts a performance of “Broadway’s Next Hit Musical.” This musical is “the only unscripted theatrical awards show. Master improvisers gather made up, hit song suggestions from the audience and create a spontaneous evening of music, humor, and laughter. The audience votes for its favorite song and watches as the cast turns it into a full-blown improvised musical — complete with memorable characters, witty dialogue, and plot twists galore.” Showtime is 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $40. Silver Eagle (concert)
Bill’s Music Shop & Pickin’ Parlor (710 Meeting St. in West Columbia) presents a show from the popular country band Silver Eagle. Family Palooza: National Popcorn Day
The Chapin Branch Library (129 Columbia Ave.) invites you and the kids to their “Family Palooza: National Popcorn Day” event. Groove Masters (concert)
Chayz Lounge (607 Meeting St. in West Columbia) and the Groove Masters band present “A Night Of Jazz Rhythms.” Enjoy hits and classics by George Duke, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, James Brown, Kem, Roy Ayers, The Gap Band as featured saxophonist Connie Sawyer and guitarist Rod McCoy jam the night away with the band. Donut Fest
Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St. in Cayce) invites you to Donut Fest. Steve Ladd (concert)
Red Bank Baptist Church (120 Community Dr.) hosts a performance by Steve Ladd. The fast-rising singer-songwriter plays a mix of contemporary Christian and classic gospel music for the first half of the church’s Sunday worship service. Lego Club
Bring your pre-K or kindergarten aged children to the Irmo Branch Library (6251 St. Andrews Rd.) for their Lego Club meeting. Chamber Crawl (concert)
Craft & Draft Irmo (7583 St. Andrews Rd.) hosts the Sc Philharmonic’s Chamber Crawl, an ongoing series that brings small chamber ensembles from the orchestra to local watering holes. Enjoy craft beers and pints as you enjoy the music. Chef Ros offers up delicious food specials to go along with local and regional brews from 12 taps. Rueben Studdard and Clay Aiken (concert)
The Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College St. in Irmo) hosts a performance by two of the biggest stars that TV’s “American Idol” has produced. Multi-platinum recording artists Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken have reunited 20 years after their historic run on the second season of “American Idol” in 2003 for their Twenty tour. The Big Band Experience (concert)
