The New Primitive (concert)

Groove Masters (concert)

Chayz Lounge (607 Meeting St. in West Columbia) and the Groove Masters band present “A Night Of Jazzy Rhythms.” Enjoy an evening full of hits and classics by James Brown, Kem, Roy Ayers, The Gap Band, George Duke, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and many more. Lexington Rescue Run

Looking to get the whole family some exercise and help out a worthy cause at the same time? Check out the Lexington Rescue Run at Red Bank Arena (1159 Nazareth Rd.). The Lexington Rescue Run 5K (and a half mile Kids Fun Run) benefit Operation Underground Railroad, a non-profit organization whose mission is to eradicate child trafficking. Cherry Blossom Festival

Irmo Town Park (1249 Lexington Ave.) hosts the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Planted in the park in 2001, the six Yoshino trees put forth an amazing bloom at their peak. Check out the exuberant pale pink blooms of late March, and enjoy quiet picnicking, blossom-viewing, arts and crafts vendors, and much more. Soiree On State

State St. in Cayce is the place to be for the Soiree On State celebration. Presented by the City of Cayce and the Avenues Neighborhood Association, Soiree on State will include artists, a free kid’s area with bounce courses, face painting and a balloon artist, food vendors, live music and more. 360 ALLSTARS

The Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College Blvd.) presents the 360 ALLSTARS: A Supercharged Urban Circus. connects the street with the elite to deliver a supercharged urban circus. A phenomenal physical performance exploring all forms of rotation, you’ll see everything from BMX, basketball, and breakdancing, to acrobatics, drumming, and more. Carolina Jazz Xperience (concert)

The Carolina Jazz Xperience performs at the Saluda River Club (102 Glade Spring Dr.). This exciting, dynamic big band was formed by a group of University of South Carolina Band alumni with the simple mission of providing free big band jazz concerts to the local community. Family Fun Night

Easter Egg Hunt

The Chapin Branch Library (129 Columbia Ave.) gets Easter started a little early with an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Bring your basket and be sure to get a picture with the Easter Bunny. Palmetto Sportsmen’s Classic

The SC State Fairgrounds (1200 Rosewood Dr. in Columbia) hosts South Carolina’s largest fishing, hunting and outdoor expo, the Palmetto Sportsmen’s Classic March 22 through March 24. There are more than 350 vendors on site, and you can browse huge dream boats as well as small craft, along with all the latest hunting and fishing equipment. The Carole King Musical (play)

The Town Theatre (1012 Sumter St. in Columbia) presents a performance of “The Carole King Musical” on Friday, March 22nd. SC B.A.S.S. Nation Youth State Championship

Dreher Island State Park (3677 State Park Rd. in Prosperity) hosts a day of fishing fun on the water with the SC B.A.S.S. Nation Youth State Championship event on Saturday, March 23.
