A Lexington County driver died in a one-car crash about 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 12.
Timothy Robert "TJ" Langfitt Jr., 18, of Leesville was killed on Cedar Grove Road in Batesburg-Leesville, according to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher.
Langfitt was driving west on Cedar Grove Road when his 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipseran off the left side of the road and hit several trees, Highway Patrol Cpl. Sonny Collins said.
He was alone and wore a seatbelt but died at the scene from his injuries, Fisher said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
