Lexington County deputies report that a woman was shot to death early in the morning on June 7.

According to social media posts from the county Sheriff’s Department, the woman and a man were shot in front of a home on the 600 block of Pine Grove Road. The man was transported by EMS to the hospital and continues to receive treatment.

The post notes that investigators believe this to be an “isolated incident between people who were connected in some way.”

The 600 block of Pine Grove Road is located off Fairview Road/U.S. Highway 178 between Batesburg-Leesville and Pelion.

The department asks that anyone with information to share anonymous tips via the Midlands Crrimestoppers app.
