Chronicle Country schools reschedule basketball, wrestling matchups.

The 2021 athletics year will open slowly for Chronicle Country schools.

With several school districts waiting until Friday to resume sporting activities, there are a lesser number of basketball and wrestling contests planned for Tuesday. A Region 3-2A doubleheader between Batesburg-Leesville and Gray Collegiate will take place in West Columbia and fans will not be allowed in attendance. 

A scheduled doubleheader Tuesday between Richland Northeast and Irmo will feature only the junior varsity and varsity boys teams. The 2 varsity boys teams will meet again Friday in Columbia. 

Saturday will feature a plethora of wrestling matches, including a pair of tri-matches at River Bluff and Lexington high schools.
