Dutch Fork's quest for high school football immortality is facing a forminable challenge Friday night at Williams-Brice Stadium.

The Silver Foxes have trailed twice in the contest for the first time this season. The Yellow Jackets have capitalized off 173 rushing yards and University of South Carolina commit defensive end Zacch Pickens had a 24-yard interception return for a touchdown to give them a 7-3 lead in the first quarter.

Dutch Fork responded with an 9-play, 51-yard scoring drive capped by a 7-yard touchdown run by quarterback Ty Olenchuk with 1:15 left in the first quarter.

T.L. Hanna answered with an all-run, 11-play, 77-yard scoring drive capped by a 2-yard run by J.J. Hudson to regain the lead. It only took 27 seconds for the Silver Foxes to answer as Olenchuk connected with Gage Zirke to make it 17-14.

Another methodical 10-play, 78-yard scoring drive by the Yellow Jackets capped by a 7-yard TD run by Isaiah Norris put them back on top 20-17.

With 1:52 left, Dutch Fork's defense forced a punt. Juan Velarde's kick shanked out of bounds at the Yellow Jackets' 40-yard line. Olenchuk converted a 4th down pass to Zirke, then found Jalin Hyatt in the endzone from 24 yards with 5 seconds left to give Dutch Fork the 24-20 halftime lead.

Olenchuk is 9-18 for 228 yards, 143 on 3 receptions by Zirke.
