Offense dominates 3rd annual Lexington Sportsarama

A near-capacity homecrowd at Gilbert High School were treated for a preseason warmup from 7 Lexington County schools.
The 3rd annual Lexington Sportsarama featured 4 2 quarter scrimmages which had its share of high scores and big offensive plays. 
This was also the final opportunity for teams to prepare for their respective season-openers on Aug. 23:


GAME RESULTS
Batesburg-Leesville 52, Edisto 0
The opening contest quickly turned into the Marvin Gantt showcase.
The Panthers' running back scored 3 of his 4 touchdowns on his team's first 3 series. Batesburg-Leesville also got a touchdown run from Ahma-Dre Leaphart and back-to-back interception returns for touchdowns in dominating the Cougars.


River Bluff 28, Swansea 7
Riley Myers rushed for 2 scores, Uriah West had a rushing touchdown and Kevin Culcleasure returned a fumblel for a touchdown to lead the Gators.
After Myers' 2nd touchdown, the Tigers got their lone score on a kickoff return of 90-plus yards by MJ Reed. 


Lexington 14, Pelion 0 
On the same night "Miss Lexington" Abigail Foster was crowned "Miss Sportsarama", the Wildcats got touchdown runs from Taylor Mathias and Ahmad Bynem-Scott to defeat the Panthers. 


Gilbert 20, White Knoll 7
As rainfall started to fall upon the fans at Leonard Price Field, quarterback Jy Tolen closed out the Sportsarama with a 50-yard bomb to transfer wide receiver Alec Holt. 
Dre Cook accounted for 2 rushing touchdowns for the Indians, while quarterback Aveon Smith scored the Timberwolves' lone touchdown on a 1-yard keeper.
The contest served as a warmup for Gilbert, which will also play Class 5A Lexington District 1 schools Lexington and River Bluff this season.
