Airport and Irmo rounded out the number of Chronicle Country teams to qualify for the S.C. High School League competitive cheer finals.
The two schools placed sixth and eighth, respectively, at the Class 4A qualifier held Nov. 14 at Irmo High School. Catawba Ridge took first place at 304 points, followed by Easley, two-time defending champion A.C. Flora, Riverside and Lucy Beckham.
A total of eight Chronicle Country teams will compete at the state finals set for Nov. 19 at Colonial Life Arena.
