18 more confirmed covid-19 deaths and 5 probable deaths were reported Friday.
2 of those were elderly Lexington County residents who died last Tuesday.
Late reporting tends to distort the cases, deaths and when they occurred.
3 of the SC deaths occurred last month and 1 occurred July 17.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control also announced:
- 784 new confirmed cases and 83 new probable cases.
65 of therm were in Lexington County, 76 in Richland County.
DHEC does not report when these cases were discovered or reported.
- Confirmed cases to date area 161,235, probable cases 7,314, confirmed deaths 3,545, and 232 probable deaths.

- As of Thursday, 1,838,134 tests have been conducted in the state.
- 6,398 individual test results were reported to DHEC yesterday statewide.
Of those, the percent tested positive as infected was 12.3%.
That means 87.7% tested negative as virus free.
