Lexington County, in coordination with the S.C. Department of Transportation and Federal Highways Administration, will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed project to add an interchange on Interstate 20 at Calks Ferry Road in Lexington County.
The hearing will take place from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Boiling Springs Methodist Church, 2373 Calks Ferry Road in Lexington.
The hearing is scheduled in order to receive public comments on this project. The purpose of this project is to address the lack of network connectivity between I-20 and the western portion of the town of Lexington and Lexington County to accommodate traffic from current and planned growth.
The open-house portion of the hearing will begin at 5 p.m. where Lexington County representatives will be available to answer questions and discuss comments regarding the project. A formal presentation will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the opportunity for individuals to speak.
You may sign up to speak at the project website www.CalksFerryInterchange.com or during the open house portion of the hearing.
The opportunity to submit comments will also be provided at the meeting or via phone, email, mail or on the project website by Dec. 2. Comments received will be taken into consideration as the project develops.
