Due in some cases to late reporting, between June 23 and yesterday, 46 more confirmed deaths and 7 probable deaths were reported,'
The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1,921 new confirmed cases and 8 new probable cases of corona virus.
This brings confirmed cases to 78,298, probable cases to 309, confirmed deaths to 1,339, and 46 probable deaths.
1 more case of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) was reported .
The child is under the age of 10 from the Upstate.
This brings MIS-C cases in South Carolina to 5
Lexington County had 123 confirmed cases and Richland County 154.
As of yesterday, 680,947 tests have been conducted in the state.
8,877 test results were reported to DHEC yesterday not including antibody tests.
21.6% tested positive as infected.
78.4% tested negative as virus free.
As hospitals acclimate to the new federally required TeleTracking reporting system, the accuracy of the data is expected to improve.
Based on today’s TeleTracking report, as of yesterday:
* 4,744 hospital beds were available, 8,654 are in use,; 64.59% occupancy rate.
* 1,668 hospital beds are occupied by covid-19patients
* Total ventilators: 1,651; 602 in use, including 263 by covid-19 patients
