Lexington police officers’ quick action netted a sex trafficker and sent him to prison.
Donnell “Tank” Salethian Woodard, 33, was sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to sex trafficking minor children.
US District Court Judge Michelle Childs ordered Woodard to register as a sex offender after release and 15 more years of supervision.
US Attorney Peter McCoy Jr. said Woodard plead guilty to conspiracy to sex traffic minors and benefiting from sex trafficking minors.
On November 21, 2017, officers with the Lexington Police Department found a minor advertising sex on a website.
An undercover officer set up a meeting at a motel with the minor.
Authorities said the minor was dropped off by Woodward and India “Lady Tank” Tykeyah-Najee Cuyler, 26.
Police took both into custody.
Officers went to a nearby motel where they found another minor involved.
Investigators say Woodard and Cuyler used a cell phone to post advertisements for sex with minors on websites and took part of the profits.
Authorities say “Lady Tank” Cuyler plead guilty to using a cell phone to entice a minor under the age of 18 to engage in sex.
Her sentencing is scheduled March 17.
