Thursday — Aug. 3

Loveland Coffee Artisan Market
Mary’s Mobile Market posts up at Loveland Coffee (7475 Carlisle St. in Irmo) with various vendors to complement the coffee shop’s selection of caffeinated treats as well as beer and wine. Friday — Aug. 4

Hannah Dasher (concert)
The Nashville Nights concert series at Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St. in Cayce) rolls on with a performance from singer-songwriter Hannah Dasher. The Savannah-born Dasher strives to keep her country music style genuine, citing Patsy Cline, Clint Black and Alan Jackson as influences. Purple Martin Tour
If you’re a nature lover, you’ll enjoy the Purple Martin Tour at Jake’s Landing (220 Jake’s Landing Rd.). This intimate, six-person cruise will allow you to see thousands of purple martins up close and enjoy an evening on Lake Murray. The cruise runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and tickets are $50 each. Brew at the Zoo
The Riverbanks Zoo & Garden (500 Wildlife Pkwy.) hosts the popular annual event Brew at the Zoo. Support wildlife with samples of cold, frothy beer. From domestics to imports to specialty micros, guests can choose their brew and walk through the zoo or listen to live music. Concessions will also be available for purchase. The Market at Icehouse
Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) hosts the Market At Icehouse. The market is intended as a farmer/grower and local artisans market that uses a community-friendly atmosphere to promote, support and encourage local production, while educating citizens on the benefits of eating local, fresh produce and supporting local artists. Civil War Tour
If you’re a history buff, meet up at the Cayce Tennis Center (1120 Fort Congaree Tr.) for a Civil War Tour. This walking tour will take about two hours and run for around two miles. You’ll be able to walk the battlefield and visit the earthworks and learn about the strategies and tactics used by both sides as Sherman marched through South Carolina on his way to Columbia. Ragan Whiteside (concert)
Chayz Lounge (607 Meeting St. in West Columbia) hosts the second of two nights featuring contemporary jazz flutist/vocalist Ragan Whiteside, performing a show called “An Evening Of Soul Jazz.” Whiteside will play her own chart-topping hits and some familiar favorites such as “Sweet Sticky Thing,” the Patrice Rushen classic “Remind Me” and more. Flagman (concert)
