Civil War Tour
If you’re a history buff, meet up at the Cayce Tennis Center (1120 Fort Congaree Tr.) for a Civil War Tour. This walking tour will take about 2 hours and run for around 2 miles. You’ll be able to walk the battlefield and visit the earthworks and learn about the strategies and tactics used by both sides as Sherman marched through South Carolina on his way to Columbia. Slip, Slide and Splash
Melvin Park (370 Eptings Camp Rd. in Chapin) is the place to cool off in the summer heat at the Slip, Slide and Splash event. Bring the kids and enjoy nine inflatable water slides, access to the splash pad and food trucks from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $15, and this event is for children ages 3 and up with adult supervision. Lexington Munching on Main Tour
