Man shot, killed at a Lexington realty company Christmas party

The Lexington Police Department is investigating an overnight death at the business of Southern Dreams Realty, 102 Gantt Street, according to a release from Police Chief Terrence Green.

At approximately 11:36 p.m. Friday, officers with the Lexington Police Department were dispatched to a shooting that had just occurred and upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot lying on the ground in the parking lot of the business.

Witnesses stated that a holiday party had been going on when two male individuals had gotten into a physical altercation. One male shot the other male resulting in fatal injuries.

This is an active and ongoing investigation with the Lexington Police Department, the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
