The University of South Carolina’s band, the Carolina Band, marched in the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Carolina Band was the only band selected from South Carolina to be in this year’s parade in New York City, according to the university’s website. “This is the first Macy’s performance by the Carolina Band in its rich history, and we owe this incredible achievement to all of the Carolina Band alumni, directors and staff members from our 103 years,” Director of Carolina Marching Band Jay Jacobs is quoted saying on the website.
